    Northeast Iowa Food Bank

St. John has a long tradition of feeding the hungry. Now we have a chance for you to volunteer at the Northeast Iowa Food Bank on the first Saturday of each month from 9 am - 12 noon. Everyone is welcome to help (youth 6th grade and younger must serve with a parent or other adult). Sign up at the Opportunities Table in the atrium to volunteer.

    Prayer Shawls

Offer the warmth and care of a family of faith by presenting a prayer shawl to someone you know. Hand stitched with the prayers of the congregation, prayer shawls are available to any one that needs to be surrounded with the care of Christ’s love. Each shawl is made to be given away, to offer warmth and peace to those in need. As the shawl enfolds the recipient, they are covered with the prayers and love with which the shawl was created.

If you would like to create a shawl, you can find instructions here.
